Dear Gustav,
Just few words in order to help you to follow our comments, we had a divergent comments concerning theses Picts, most of us says they are sharp, extremely sharp, and the others says, yes ok it's sharp but nothing specials on theses pictures. The kingfisher presented on this little wood support is very common, that's why we are thinking you're opened this thread only for showing the couple A7 and 500mm capacities.
It would be great if you could explain a little bit the AF settings and your feed back about this combination.
Thanks a lot,
Gerard

thank you gerard,and torobouk
well yes ....the picture`s of the kingfisher taken with the A7rII , and is extremely sharp ,because the camera dont have a low-pass filter
yes it,s only a kingfisher sitting on a branch ,nothing special , but i can tell , its difficult to photograph kingfishers , with a nice background , great light and sitting on a nice branch.
i always say .....bad weather is colour weather i go only to the kingfisher when there are clouds, the colours are nicer then.
this is the first camera for me , that give me HIGH ISO-LOW NOICE , and ofcourse the 42 MP that give a nature-photographer more to cropp if that is nesessary ,also the 5 axis stabilisation is great ,it give me much more sharper picture`s with low shutterspeed ,than the A99 for example
my AF settings,
as you now you can use the LA-EA3 adapter for A mount lenses with SSM , i have also the LA-EA4
when i photograph with this combination , and use the LA-EA3 , the sharpness can better , when i use the LA EA4 adapter , the sharpness is superb
it,s strange , because you must get great result with the LA-EA3 adapter , maybe i have a bad copy , or sony must something to do with a firmware update for long lenses
i send a message to sony japan , and explane what i notice
when i use the LA-EA4 i use flecible point , i do this for the composition .
i want to have a shutterspeed at least of 1/100 wit hthis combination , so most of the time i go to ISO 800 F5 , F5,6
I use AF-C
when i forget someting ,or there are more questions , please let me now
here some result taken this morning
