torobouk a Ă©crit :Beautiful Kingfisher Gustav the 1 are superb, and all the pictures are sharp and with a lovely bokeh ! Very good job !
Only one comment...you could write few littles words for everybody's, with your pict's.
Please Again

you are right torobouk ,
first you must find a place , we find a nest , so near the nest we place a branch in the wall.
you must find a nice branch with mos on it , and if its possible a branch that is a little bit black , because with the colours from the kingfisher ,you get a great combination.
if you find a nest ,place the brance above the water , and he shall always sit on it , first he can fish ..... and second he can look if everything is safe ,befour he fly into the nest .
i only go with cloudy weather , because with cloude weather you get better colours , ok your shutterspeed is not high, so for action-picture`s you must come back when the sun is shining

look where you must sit , and that you have the light(sun) in your back , and try to have the background 7,8 meters behind the branch
use a comouflage-hide a trypod ,
when you go to the place , make sure he heard you from a distance , he shall fly away , and you are a normal person , that walk there , when he come`s back , you sit in the hide.
i always use A-MODE , so i set the apperture F ,and the ISO , and the camera tells me the shutterspeed , stabilisation OFF
with kingfishers i always go 1/3 a 2/3 underexposed , i do that for the whith-colours of his feathers , and if you do that , your shutterspeed goes up

if anyone have questions ,please ask , and i try to help

thanks ,and merci
gustav
